Brandy Ragon joined the Family Defined Benefits team in 2022 as the Senior Advisor in our Colorado branch office. With over twenty years of experience in Retirement Planning, Brandy collaborates with FDB Generational Estate Planning Attorneys to create personalized plans for our clients and their families. Brandy is known for her friendly and knowledgeable approach toward planning. She is passionate about helping people prepare for retirement, enabling them to live their best lives and maintain their lifestyles under fluctuating economic conditions.
Since 2005, Brandy has worked as an expert in the Federal Employee Market, setting up agency training programs throughout the US and hosting over 1000 live benefit training webinars. She continues to service and advise federal employees on FEGLI Cost Analysis, Thrift Savings Plan navigation, CSRS and FERS Pension Calculations, Survivor Benefit Plan calculations and offering possible cost-effective replacement options, Long Term Care planning, and identifying Budget Gaps.
Brandy grew up in Arkansas and graduated from Henderson State University in 2000. She entered the Financial Services Industry in August 2000, learning from the ground up as an Appointment Setter and New Business Processor. From there, she joined a large Securities Firm, focusing on Marketing and Compliance. She eventually moved to Colorado and became a Federal Employee Benefits Specialist.
Brandy lives in Denver, CO with her Australian Cattle Dog, Summer. She enjoys hiking trails, cycling, trying new restaurants, and attending concerts at Red Rocks.
